Applying to MIT-SCALE Graduate Programs

Read this section carefully to determine which application requirements, dates, and forms are relevant to you! 

  • All candidates must apply online.
  • You will use MIT's apply.mit.edu system to apply to master's programs at CTL, LCL, MISI, NSCIIC, and/or ZLC, or the GCLOG certificate program. Use the links below to the correct instructions and form for the program(s).
  • The residential and blended master's program application requirements vary.
  • You may apply to multiple MIT SCALE master's programs with a single application form (but note there is one form for blended programs, another for residential) and a single fee. 
  • Registration for Executive Education and short courses is done directly on the centers' sites. Start on the SCALE Exec Ed page and navigate to your center of interest.

Residential programs:

Application round deadlines are:

  • Round 1 Deadline: November 1, 2023
  • Round 2 Deadline: January 31, 2024
  • Round 3 Deadline: March 30, 2024

 

Blended programs:

  • Round 1 Deadline: December 19, 2023
  • Round 2 Deadline: June 11, 2024

Application Requirements at a Glance

10-Month Master's (CTL, LCL, MISI, ZLC, NISCI MSc)
and NISCI MBA Programs

Eligibility: Applicants must have at least 2 years' work experience (3-8 years is ideal) and strong quantitative skills, including some college-level calculus, linear algebra, and probability/statistics.

  • SC0x or GMAT/GRE*
  • Statement of Objectives
  • Recommendations (2)
  • Video Statement
  • IELTS/TOEFL (required of applicants from non-English-speaking nations)

*Required for applicants to the MIT SCM residential program. See application instructions for more info.

ZLC, MISI, LCL, and NISCI accept applications on a rolling basis after the published deadlines have passed.

Eligibility: Applicants must be MicroMasters Program Credential holders.

GCLOG Graduate Certificate Program

Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a master's program in a relevant area at a reputable university in Latin America. See additional info on eligibility.
